The Best of Times magazine receives 22 awards at 2020 NAMPA national convention!
The Best of Times, a free monthly magazine for mature adults in Northwest Louisiana, received 22 national awards, in a wide variety of design and editorial excellence categories, at the 2020 North American Mature Publishers Association (NAMPA) virtual national convention held on October 6 and 7, 2020 via ZOOM.
NAMPA member publications were judged in various categories by an independent panel of faculty from the internationally respected University of Missouri School of Journalism, generally considered one of the top journalism schools in the world.
Editor Tina Calligas noted, “Putting together a quality publication takes interesting ideas, well-written articles, creative design, a dedicated staff, and supportive advertisers. These awards are a wonderful testament to the quality of our magazine and recognize the hard work and dedication of all our contributors.”
“We are so very honored to have won so many awards, including the highly coveted Best of Show in our division. This year’s award competition had the largest number of senior publications who submitted entries to be judged by this distinguished panel of experts,” added publisher Gary Calligas.
